3 Small Ways You Can Start Living in Greater Harmony with Nature Right Now 🌈
There are many reasons you might be feeling called to live in greater harmony with Nature right now. Are you wanting to live more sustainably and in a more eco-friendly way? 🌿 Is it deeper than that?
Did you know that living in greater harmony with Nature is part of a larger journey you’re on - a journey to discover your true life purpose? And find it without parents or other adults telling you what to think or how to behave.
These three small changes are easy shifts you can make to start living in greater harmony with Nature right now.
1. Pick Up Litter 🚮
I know, this sounds kinda gross, but it doesn’t have to be! With gloves and/or a grabber tool, you can pick up litter and avoid the germs.
While it would be better if no one littered, people do. Not everyone is aware of their behavior as you are! By making the choice to pick up someone else’s litter and properly recycle or otherwise dispose of it, you’re making the world a cleaner place for everyone! 🌎
Wildlife often eats, gets stuck, or is otherwise negatively affected by litter. Even things like apple cores or banana peels that are biodegradable have a detrimental effect. Because they’re not native food for wildlife in your area (most likely), any wild kin that do eat them may become ill. 🦨
Plus, litter looks terrible! When you clean it up, you make the world a more beautiful place to look at.
2. Change Your Driving Habits 🚗
If you’re like most people, you’re driving a vehicle powered by gasoline - at least to a certain degree. And even if you’re not, I question the long-term impacts of the batteries (and associated acids) on the environment. Plus, depending on where the electricity you’re using to charge those batteries comes from, you may be using fossil fuels indirectly. 🔋
Given all of that, I think changing your driving habits is a beneficial step no matter what you drive. With GPS, it’s also a really easy switch to make. 🗺️
Google Maps gives you the option to choose eco-friendly routes. 🍃 In my experience, even if Maps predicts a slightly longer trip, in reality, it actually takes about the same amount of time as the other options because the eco-friendly routes typically have less traffic and/or fewer traffic lights. Win-win there, I’d say! Plus, you’ll save on gas money, and who doesn’t love that? 💰
3. Go for a Walk 🚶🏻♀️
It doesn’t have to be long or even daily. Going for a walk anywhere you can see anything like Nature (trees, water, etc.) helps you reconnect to Mother Nature and also to your own soul. 🌳
I recommend a short walk without your phone in your face whenever you can fit it in. You’ll be surprised how quickly you feel your insides calm down and how much happier you feel.
And guess what? Nature is happier, too! Gaia loves when we spend time enjoying being with her. (Kinda like how you enjoy hanging with your besties.) 💖
As you spend more time in Nature, you’ll start to get your own ideas for how to live in harmony. You’ll also start to determine your values (or a shift in them) and with those values more clear for you, you’ll then begin to discover your life purpose.
Pretty neat, eh?
